Why is there no per-seat price?
Because seats don't predict load. One agent generates more decisions than ten human users. Per-decision pricing tracks the thing that actually costs us money to ingest, hash, and store — the trace itself.
What counts as one decision?
One successful POST to /api/v1/traces. Idempotency-deduplicated traces (same key within 24 h) do not double-count. Blocked traces (HTTP 403) still count — your agent emitted the decision; the chain wrote the entry.
What happens when Sandbox hits 10,000?
Adjudon returns HTTP 429 with code: USAGE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED. The trace is rejected; nothing is silently billed. Upgrade to Scale to unlock overage pricing — or wait for the calendar month to reset.
Can I keep traces for five years for BaFin?
Yes, on Enterprise or Custom. The schema cap is 3,650 days (10 years). For BaFin's typical 5-year retention, configure 1,825 days on the Organization document — it takes effect on the next nightly retention cron.
Is overage cheaper at higher tiers?
Yes. Per-trace overage is €0.003 on Scale, €0.001 on Governance, €0.0005 on Enterprise. The math rewards predictable volume — one million extra traces costs €3,000 on Scale, €500 on Enterprise.
Is the Sandbox a trial or forever?
Forever. No credit card to sign up. 10,000 decisions per month, hard-blocked at the limit. Full chain writes, full Confidence Engine, full Policy Engine. The compliance verify endpoints gate to Governance+ — that's the only restriction beyond the trace cap.
